RESPITE CARE

Short Term Respite Care

Respite Care for the Derby area

At Holbrook Hall Residential care homes Derby we offer short term respite care for people who are usually looked after by a carer or relative at home or have been in hospital and require convalescence care after discharge.

Looking after a loved one is undoubtedly both hard work and a big commitment. When you are taking care of somebody, it’s important to remember to care of yourself too! Respite care at Holbrook Hall gives the home based carer a well earned break with peace of mind knowing that your relative is in a safe and homely environment with 24-hour care available.

If you are the one in need of permanent care, taking a break from your usual routine and carer can really make a difference. Or indeed, if you live independently, respite care could give you the temporary help you need whilst recovering from an illness or operation, until you feel well enough to return home.

Respite care stays also allow a relationship to develop between the home, its carers and the short term resident. This can prove useful in the long term should more permanent care be required in the future.

All respite care residents enjoy the same facilities as our permanent residents.

As a close family ourselves we were able to appreciate the closeness of the family of which Mother became a valued member from the first day she joined you
